Gleam Hydro (Pty) Ltd provides bespoke soil and groundwater related consulting services to a wide range of clients across South Africa.
Gleam Hydro was founded in 2016 by Johan Kriek after more than 17 years in the corporate environmental arena working in the contaminated land and geohydrological fields in Africa. Gleam Hydro was started with the aim to best serve the needs of clients through providing a trusted relationship that should reflect our relationship with our creator as we strive to be a bright shining light reflecting light from above. Johan has 22 years of environmental and contamination consulting and project management experience. His duties have included groundwater supply and management, detailed site investigations, remediation design and implementation as well as environmental management. His experience includes substantial involvement in the investigation and remediation of sites with soil and groundwater contamination. Contaminants of concern have included chlorinated solvents, metals, petroleum hydrocarbons, volatile and semi-volatile organics. He has worked in many African countries including Botswana, Burkina Faso, Chad, Lesotho, Liberia, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Tanzania, The Gambia and Zimbabwe.
